Portable Storage Containers in Englewood, Colorado

Englewood sits just south of Denver, with older bungalows on small lots and a lot of garages being turned into something better. We deliver here from our Brighton yard; the drive is longer than to Thornton or Aurora, so we schedule Englewood a day or two out and tell you the window when you book.
The three-day garage that took a month
An Englewood customer was having his garage floor epoxied and figured he needed a container for three to five days. We rent by the month, so we told him we’d pick it up early if he wanted. He called back to keep it the whole month: once the new floor was down, the rest of the garage looked terrible next to it. He painted the walls, added shelving, and turned it into a garage he was proud of — without feeling rushed, because the container was already there and already paid for.
That’s the honest case for the one-month minimum. Projects grow. A container that’s there for the whole month is a lot cheaper than the stress of finishing in a weekend.
Delivering in Englewood
Small lots and short driveways are the norm, and a fair number of homes have alley garages. A container fits in one parking stall, so a single-car driveway usually works. If there’s no driveway, the alley apron may work if it’s yours and the truck can get in. Text us a photo and we’ll tell you before delivery day. If it has to sit in the street, Englewood requires a right-of-way permit from Public Works first.
Englewood’s container rules, straight from the city
In October 2026 we asked Englewood’s Community Development office how the city handles portable storage containers at homes. The rule is short, and it’s written into the Englewood Municipal Code (section 16-4-4.F):
- One container per lot. The city caps the size at 200 square feet and 1,000 cubic feet. Ours is 8 by 16 feet, which is 128 square feet, and it’s under the volume limit too.
- On pavement. It goes on a paved surface like your driveway. Not on the lawn, not over an easement or the public right-of-way, and not where it blocks a driver’s view.
- Up to 30 days. The code allows the time reasonably needed to finish your project, and no more than 30 days.
That lines up with how we rent. A month at your house is plenty of time to load for a move or clear out a garage. Need longer? We pick up the loaded container and keep it at our Brighton yard, then bring it back when you’re ready. For a question about your own address, call Englewood Community Development.

What you’re renting
A single 8×16-foot steel container: about 800 cubic feet inside, up to 7,500 pounds, sealed doors, tie-down track, one parking stall of space. Enough for a garage, a basement, or two to three rooms. Englewood is inside the Front Range area we serve from Brighton; we quote the move fee up front, then it’s months and add-ons. No deposit. One-month minimum — see the garage story above for why that’s usually a good thing. Size guide.
Englewood storage questions
I only need a container for a few days. Do I have to pay for a month?
Yes, the minimum is one month. We’ll pick it up whenever you want inside that month — but most people end up glad they had the extra time.
Will a container fit on my short driveway?
Usually. It takes about one parking stall. Send a photo.
How fast can you deliver to Englewood?
A day or two from Brighton. We’ll give you a window when you book.
Can you place it in the alley?
Only if the apron is your property and the truck can reach it. A public alley counts as right-of-way.
Do I need a permit for a storage container in Englewood?
Englewood’s code doesn’t list a permit for a container on your own driveway. It allows one portable storage container per lot, on a paved surface, for up to 30 days. The street is different: that takes a right-of-way permit from Englewood Public Works.
Can I keep the container longer than 30 days?
Not at the house. Englewood’s limit is 30 days, so for a longer project we pick up the loaded container and store it at our Brighton yard until you need it back.
What can I put in it?
Anything that isn’t flammable, hazardous, perishable or alive. Up to 7,500 lb.
