Portable Storage Containers in Saratoga Springs, UT
Velox Mobile Storage delivers portable storage containers in Saratoga Springs, UT, from Wildflower and Harvest Hills at the north end to Talons Cove and Fox Hollow by the lake. We drop one steel container in your driveway, you pack on your own schedule, and we either leave it with you or haul it, loaded, to our secured yard until your next home is ready. We’re a local Utah County company. When you call or text, you reach our own team, not a national call center.
Saratoga Springs is one of the fastest-growing cities in the state. It went from about 1,000 residents in 2000 to 37,696 at the 2020 Census, and the Utah Population Committee estimates it added another 4,682 people in 2025 alone, about 8.4 percent growth in a single year. That much growth means a lot of families moving in, moving up and waiting on builders. Portable storage gives you time to pack and stay organized instead of cramming it all into one moving day.
Not sure the container will fit at your place? Try it in 3D with our driveway fit tool: drag the 16 ft container around a sample driveway, RV pad, curb or parking stall.
Why Saratoga Springs families use portable storage
Right now Saratoga Springs, Lehi and Eagle Mountain are three of our busiest areas. Most of the calls we get from Saratoga Springs fit one of these situations:
- Waiting on a new build. You’ve sold your current home, but the builder is still months from finishing yours in Wildflower, Legacy Farms or one of the newer south-end neighborhoods. A new build commonly takes several months, and owner-builders often need a year or more. We keep your things in the container that whole time, and the rent doesn’t go up after the first month. Our guide to storage during a home build walks through the timeline.
- Moving up in town. Plenty of moves here are short: a townhome near Redwood Road to a bigger house by the lake, or a starter home in Saratoga Springs to a larger lot in Eagle Mountain. When the container is already in your driveway, you can pack a few boxes every evening instead of losing a whole weekend.
- Staging to sell. Buyers want to see clean rooms and an empty garage. Clearing half your furniture into a container makes your house show bigger, and everything stays close by.
- Finishing a basement or remodeling. If your home came with an unfinished basement and you’re ready to finish it, or you’re redoing the kitchen, a container keeps furniture out of the dust and out of the contractor’s way.
Delivery notes for Saratoga Springs neighborhoods
Our truck stays on the road, and a machine lifts the container off and sets it where you want it. We don’t tip it or drag it like a dumpster. The container takes up about one parking stall, and we can place it anywhere our truck can drive. Here’s what matters in Saratoga Springs:
- Getting here. We usually come in on Pioneer Crossing (SR-145) from I-15 and Lehi, then use Redwood Road (SR-68), the city’s main north-south road, to reach neighborhoods from Inlet Park down to Pelican Bay. The new Mountain View Corridor freeway segment, which opened in northern Utah County in December 2025, helps on the north end. SR-73 connects the west side of town to Eagle Mountain.
- Use the driveway, not the street. City code limits a vehicle parked on a public street to 48 hours in one spot, and it bans street parking while snowplows are working. A container in the road runs into the same trouble, so plan on putting it in your driveway, on a side pad, or on another firm spot on your lot. Our driveway placement guide covers surfaces, slopes and protecting concrete.
- Check with your HOA. Many Saratoga Springs neighborhoods have an HOA, and each one sets its own rules for how long a container can stay. Ask them before delivery day. For city-by-city rules around the county, see our Utah County permit guide.
- New construction. In neighborhoods that are still being built, streets and access can change from week to week. If the spot is new, tight or sloped, text us a photo. That’s the easiest way to book the right placement, and we handle steep driveways case by case instead of turning you down.
You don’t have to be home for delivery as long as your placement instructions are clear. The driver will contact you before arriving. Just move the cars and watch for low branches or wires over the spot. For a full checklist, see how to prepare for storage delivery.

The Saratoga Springs container that became a dog gate
A family moving into Saratoga Springs asked us to put their container on the RV pad between the house and the fence. It fit so tightly that it closed off the side yard — and they realized their dog couldn’t get out of the backyard any more. They kept the unit for years: extra storage while they remodeled the house they’d just moved into, and a wall their dog never figured out. Not the use we planned for, but a good example of the container going exactly where you want it.
How much fits, and where it stays
Each Velox unit is an 8×16, all-steel container with about 800 cubic feet of space inside. One container usually holds the contents of a home of about 1,500 square feet, or 2 to 3 bedrooms. How much fits depends on how well you pack, how much furniture you have and how long you’ve lived there. The load limit is 7,500 pounds, which is well above what a typical move weighs. Our advice is to fill one container first and order a second only if you need it. Grills, bikes and patio furniture are usually the last things people squeeze in. For a room-by-room estimate, see what size container a 3-bedroom house needs.
Once it’s packed, you choose. Keep the container at your house and load it at your own pace, or we’ll pick it up loaded and store it at our gated yard in Pleasant Grove, a short drive over Pioneer Crossing and I-15. Storing at the yard doesn’t add anything to your monthly rate. You can visit your things by appointment. Call or text ahead, and someone will meet you, unlock the gate and lock up after you. When your new house is ready, we bring the container back to Saratoga Springs, or to wherever you’ve moved in the county.
The containers aren’t climate controlled, but they keep out normal rain and snow. If you’re storing through a Utah Lake winter, load everything dry, use sealed totes and add a moisture absorber. Keep important documents, electronics and anything irreplaceable with you.
What affects the price in Saratoga Springs
We don’t post prices, because every quote depends on the job. What we can tell you is how it works. Saratoga Springs is inside our Utah County delivery area, so you won’t pay the long-distance charges that apply to deliveries farther out in the state. There’s a one-month minimum, no deposit and no jump in price after the first month. Fees are charged the day before each move. Your quote depends on how many containers you need, how long you keep them, how many moves you need, and any add-ons like a lock or third-party coverage. We usually have a few deals running, so ask. Our guide to what a portable storage container costs goes through every factor.
Saratoga Springs portable storage FAQ
Can the container sit on the street in Saratoga Springs?
Plan on your driveway or another spot on your own lot. Saratoga Springs limits street parking to 48 hours in one place and bans it while snowplows are running, and your HOA may have its own rules. If you’re not sure where it will fit, text us a photo.
How soon can you deliver?
Book as early as you can, especially from late May through mid-August, which is our busy season. Next-day delivery is often possible, and occasionally same-day. Friday afternoons, the end of the month and the days before a holiday fill up first.
Can I keep the container while my new home is being built?
Yes. That’s one of the most common reasons Saratoga Springs families call us. Keep it at your current place or store it at our yard for no extra rent, for as many months as the build takes. The price doesn’t rise after the first month.
Do I need to be home for delivery?
Not if your placement instructions are clear. The driver will contact you before arriving. If the spot is tight or unusual, it helps to be there.
Do you serve nearby cities too?
Yes. We cover all of Utah County, including Lehi, Eagle Mountain and Cedar Fort, plus most of the rest of Utah.
