Portable Storage Containers Delivered Across Denver Metro
What Velox Customers are Saying
Portable Storage Containers Along the Front Range
Most people who call us in Colorado are trying to take the stress out of something — a move, a renovation, a house that has to look empty before it sells. A Velox container turns a brutal weekend into a job you can chip away at, without a rental truck and without rounding up friends who owe you a favour.
We run the Front Range out of our Brighton yard, delivering from Fort Collins in the north, through Denver and Aurora, and south to Colorado Springs.
Fort Collins to Colorado Springs
That corridor takes in Denver, Aurora, Englewood, Boulder and Brighton, along with Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas and Jefferson counties. We put the container exactly where you want it and leave it, so nothing gets carried twice.
Colorado has a lot of older housing that needs restoring and a lot of new building going up beside it. A container on site suits both — a place to put the contents of a room mid-renovation, or somewhere to keep materials and furniture while a new home comes together.

Loaded in Brighton. Delivered along I-25.
Portable storage that fits a Colorado schedule.
Front Range weather does not care about your moving date. An afternoon storm rolls in, a spring snow lands on closing week, and the rental truck still has to be back by six. A locked, sealed container in your driveway takes the clock out of it.
How it works in Colorado:
- We set the container where you want it, driveway or job site
- Street placement? Denver and most suburbs want a right-of-way permit, and we tell you exactly what to ask for
- Load it in the evenings or between storms; it stays sealed and locked
- We move it across the metro, hold it at our Brighton yard, or bring it back
- Monthly rental plus a flat, distance-based delivery fee, quoted before you commit
Nothing gets lifted twice and nobody drives a 26-foot truck through the Mousetrap. Restoration and remodelling crews from Boulder to Castle Rock use the same containers to keep a work site clear between trades.

How Denver metro pricing works
Every Denver quote is built for your job
Quoted for your address, not from a national rate card.
One size only: an 8×16 welded-steel box, fully sealed and gasketed, about 800 cubic feet inside — roughly three to four rooms of furniture. Your quote has two lines: a monthly rate for the container and a move fee each time we move it. The monthly rate is the same on a Thornton driveway as inside our gated Brighton lot.
There are nearly always deals or discounts running, so ask for a quote before you budget. We are locally owned and run our own trucks out of Adams County, so we usually land under the national brands.
The other half of a Colorado quote is the move fee, charged each time a truck touches the container: delivery, collection, or a relocation in between. It is flat anywhere inside 30 miles of the Brighton yard, and beyond that it is the flat fee plus a mileage charge. Because it follows your address rather than a national rate card, we quote it instead of printing it. Full pricing breakdown.

How far the flat move fee reaches
Every Colorado job is measured from one gate: the yard at 12700 E 168th Ave in Brighton. Inside a 30-mile radius the move fee is a single flat figure, the same in Northglenn as out by the airport. Past 30 miles the flat fee stands and a mileage charge covers the extra run, which is how containers reach Fort Collins and Colorado Springs.
Comfortably inside the flat-fee ring
Brighton, Henderson, Commerce City, Thornton, Northglenn, Westminster, Broomfield, Arvada, Erie, Lafayette, Louisville, Longmont, downtown and north Denver, north and central Aurora, and Denver International Airport.
Close enough to check first
Boulder, Wheat Ridge, Lakewood, Englewood and south Denver sit near enough to 30 miles that the route decides it. Give us the street and we will tell you which side you are on.
Beyond the ring, still served
Golden, Littleton, Centennial, Greenwood Village, Highlands Ranch, Lone Tree, Parker, Castle Rock, Evergreen, Loveland, Fort Collins and Colorado Springs — flat fee plus mileage.
Groupings are worked from the yard’s published coordinates; the fee follows the drive, so the exact figure lands on your quote.

the whole Front Range.
Tell us the address, whether that is Denver, Aurora, Boulder, Englewood, Brighton or anywhere between Fort Collins and Colorado Springs, and we schedule delivery from our Brighton yard. Colorado pricing is a monthly rental plus a flat, distance-based delivery fee, so the number you are quoted is the number you pay.

What the Denver metro actually uses them for
A move that will not fit into one weekend
Closing dates rarely line up neatly here. A container on the driveway lets you load in the evenings across a fortnight. If the keys land late, it waits in the Brighton lot and the rent does not change.
Remodels in older metro housing
Park Hill bungalows, Englewood ranches and Aurora split-levels hit the same wall mid-project: nowhere to put a room of furniture while the floors come out. The container takes it, locked and dry, twenty steps from the back door.
Job sites and new builds north of town
Subdivisions are still going up across Adams County and north Aurora. A steel box on the lot keeps cabinetry, fixtures and tools out of the weather between trades, then moves to the next lot.
Hail, water and restoration work
Front Range hail and a burst supply line end the same way: contents out before the repair starts. Restoration crews keep them on the property instead of in a warehouse across the metro.
Driveways, streets and HOA covenants
Where the container stands decides who has to be asked. A private driveway or lot is between you and, if you have one, your HOA. The street, the parking lane and the verge behind the kerb are public right-of-way, and that is where a city permit enters the picture.
In Denver the right-of-way is administered by the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure. DOTI’s Right-of-Way Services group issues permits for use of the city right-of-way, and its Street Occupancy page states that a Street Occupancy Permit “is always required in addition to the Street Cut or Construction Permit”, filed through E-Permits with DOTI’s Street Occupancy Request Worksheet. Both pages read on denvergov.org, 19 September 2026. Rules and fees change, so confirm with DOTI before your delivery date — or with the relevant city desk in Aurora, Thornton, Westminster or Broomfield.
Covenants are the other half: plenty of metro HOAs cap how long a container may stand in a driveway or in sight of the street, so read yours before you book.
Utah has a full walk-through at our Utah County permit guide; a Colorado equivalent is on our build list. Until then, send the address and we will say what to ask for.
Denver metro storage questions
Can the container go in the street instead of the driveway?
In Denver the street and parking lane are public right-of-way and need a DOTI permit; suburbs run their own version. A driveway placement usually sidesteps it. Send the address and the spot and we will flag it before scheduling.
What does the placement spot need to look like?
A little longer and wider than the container, reasonably level, with a clear run for the truck and nothing low overhead — wires, branches, a carport roof. Send a photo with your quote and we will confirm it fits.
Do you deliver through the winter?
Yes. The units are steel-roofed and gasketed, so snow, meltwater and grit stay outside. Clear the spot and the path to it and a January drop looks much like a July one.
How far out do you deliver?
Flat move fee anywhere within 30 miles of the Brighton yard, which covers most of the metro. Beyond that, flat fee plus mileage, up to Fort Collins and down to Colorado Springs.
What does it actually cost?
A monthly rate per container plus the move fee per trip, both quoted for your address and your dates. Discounts are usually running, so ask rather than assuming. Pricing has the full structure.
How long can I keep it?
As long as you need. Month to month, no contract, one-month minimum, billed by the full month, no penalty for extending or returning early.
Does leaving it at your yard cost extra?
No. Rent is the same in our gated lot as on your driveway. You pay the move fee in and the move fee back out, nothing else.
