Davis County splits neatly in two for us. There is the bench — the hillside running up toward the Bountiful Temple — and then there is everything on the flat, which people mostly refer to by city name. Farmington is the exception; there it is Lagoon, and everything else is described by where it sits relative to Lagoon.
The work here is steady rather than seasonal: people moving around the county, and a lot of older homes finally getting remodelled.
The bench is the hard part, and we do it anyway
Delivering up on the East Bench is genuinely technical. Driving a loaded container up a steep hillside driveway takes the right approach and an operator who has done it before, and plenty of the big national outfits simply will not attempt it — steep driveway, steep street, and the answer is no.
We take those jobs. We have been doing bench deliveries for years without a problem, and if a particular driveway really will not work, you will hear that from us before you book rather than on the day.
Seven containers for one house
The most units we have ever sent to a single address went to a home in Bountiful: seven of them, at once.
It was a large house with a large family, and she ran a business with employees out of it as well, so the move was really three moves happening at the same time. It remains our record, and nothing since has come close.
What the distance does and does not change
Davis County is roughly 50 to 80 miles from our lot depending on where you are, which is far enough that it shows up on your quote as a transportation fee.
What it does not change is the monthly cost of the container. That is the same whether the unit is sitting in Springville or in Kaysville — so a long-running remodel up here costs no more per month than one down south.
What people use a container for in Davis County
Davis County work is steady all year, and it falls into a handful of patterns.
Remodels in older homes. Bountiful, Centerville, Kaysville and Layton have large stocks of homes from the 1960s and 1970s, and a lot of them are being brought up to date at once. A container on the driveway takes the contents of the rooms being worked on and keeps them dry and locked for the length of the job.
Moves inside the county. Families here tend to move a few miles — Layton to Syracuse, Farmington to Kaysville, Bountiful up onto the bench. A container loaded over a week beats a rented truck loaded in one exhausting day.
New construction on the west side. Syracuse, West Point, Clinton and the Farmington west side are still building. When the old house sells before the new one is done, we store the loaded unit at our yard and bring it back when there are keys.
Hill Air Force Base moves. Military families come and go from the Layton, Clearfield and Roy side of the county on a schedule they do not control. A container that loads at your pace and waits at our yard until housing is ready takes some of the pressure off a PCS.
Delivery day in Davis County
We bring the container up I-15 from Utah County on our own truck and set it level where you want it. On the flat, that is usually a driveway with a clear overhead approach. Up on the bench, we want to talk about the driveway first — grade, turns, and whether there is somewhere to set the unit level at the top. We do bench deliveries regularly and will tell you before you book if a particular driveway will not work.
Placement on a public street is a city matter in Davis County; on your own driveway or lot there is normally nothing to file. If the driveway is not an option, we store the loaded unit at our yard instead.
The unit stays month to month. When the job is done we come back for it, or move it loaded to your new address.

South Davis: Bountiful, North Salt Lake, Woods Cross, West Bountiful and Centerville. The bench above Bountiful is where the technical deliveries are; on the flat it is straightforward.
Mid county: Farmington, Kaysville and Fruit Heights, with a mix of established neighborhoods and new subdivisions filling in west of the freeway.
North Davis: Layton, Clearfield, Sunset and Clinton, where Hill Air Force Base drives a lot of the moving in and out.
The west side: Syracuse and West Point, still building fast, where the usual job is a new home that is not finished when the old one sells.

Does the distance from your yard change the monthly cost?
No. The monthly rate is the same whether the unit sits in Kaysville or in Springville. Distance shows up only in the move fee, which is one flat amount for Davis County.
Can you deliver more than one container to the same house?
Yes. Our record is seven at one Bountiful address. Two or three side by side is common for a full-house move; we just need enough level space and a clear approach.
What happens if my remodel runs long?
Nothing you need to do. The container is month to month, so it stays until you tell us to collect it. There is no penalty for keeping it an extra month or three.
Do you deliver to Layton and Syracuse?
Yes. Layton, Clearfield, Syracuse and West Point are all inside the Davis County flat move fee. Deliveries there are mostly to standard driveways, and the common jobs are base moves and new-build gaps.
