Portable Storage Containers in Eagle Mountain, UT
Looking for portable storage containers in Eagle Mountain, UT? Velox Mobile Storage delivers an 8×16 all-steel container to your driveway in The Ranches, City Center, Silverlake and every new subdivision in between, from our yard in Pleasant Grove. Load it on your own schedule, keep it at your house, or have us store it at our yard until your new home is ready. One local team answers the phone, and pricing inside Utah County is a flat rate, so Eagle Mountain costs the same as Lehi or Orem even though it sits on the far side of the lake.
Not sure the container will fit at your place? Try it in 3D with our driveway fit tool: drag the 16 ft container around a sample driveway, RV pad, curb or parking stall.

Why Eagle Mountain families use portable storage
Eagle Mountain is one of the fastest-growing cities in the country. The city now has well over 60,000 residents, adds thousands more every year, and the vast majority of the housing stock is single-family homes, most of them built in the last twenty years. That growth shows up in three kinds of storage jobs we see there again and again:
- New-home builds. Families sell in Lehi, Saratoga Springs or Salt Lake County, then wait months for a builder to finish a lot on the south end of town. A container holds the furniture while they rent or stay with family, and we can keep it at our Pleasant Grove yard for as long as the build takes without adding anything to the monthly rate.
- Local moves. Most Eagle Mountain moves are short hops: a townhome in The Ranches to a bigger house near City Center, or a move up from a starter home in Saratoga Springs. Loading a container over a week or two, instead of everything in one Saturday, is the time-saver busy parents tell us they appreciate most.
- Remodels and basement finishes. Eagle Mountain has a lot of unfinished basements. When the framing crew shows up, the storage room, the food storage and the kids’ toys need somewhere to go for a month or two. A container on the driveway keeps everything twenty feet from the front door.
We also deliver to contractors and job sites around town. If you’re a builder or a restoration crew working in Eagle Mountain, see our storage during a home build page for how multi-month rentals work.
Delivery notes for Eagle Mountain neighborhoods
Our driver comes out of Pleasant Grove, takes I-15 or Redwood Road to SR-73 (the Cory Wride Memorial Highway) and climbs the pass over the north end of the Lake Mountains into Cedar Valley. From there, Eagle Mountain Boulevard and Pony Express Parkway reach almost every neighborhood in town. A few things we’ve learned delivering there:
- Most driveways work. Eagle Mountain lots are generally flat and the homes are newer, with wide concrete driveways, so placement is usually easy. The container takes up one parking stall. Our truck stays on the street and a machine lifts the unit off and sets it exactly where you want it; it is never tipped or dragged off like a dumpster.
- Townhome and HOA communities. Many Ranches-area townhome communities have HOA rules about what can sit in a driveway and for how long. Rules vary by HOA, so check your covenants first. Cities generally only get involved after a complaint, and a short-term permit usually resolves it. If you’re unsure, text us a photo of the spot and we’ll tell you what will work.
- New subdivisions with no landscaping yet. Compacted gravel or firm, dry dirt is fine for a container. Freshly graded soft fill or a muddy lot after a spring storm is not. If the driveway hasn’t been poured yet, tell us and we’ll pick a firm spot together.
- Winter over the pass. SR-73 is the first road in the area to get slick when it snows. We still deliver all winter, but on storm days give us a little flexibility on timing. Some customers with big garages have us set the unit inside so they can load warm and dry.
- Clear the driveway. Move cars, trailers and boats out of the way, and look up for low branches or overhead wires. That’s usually all the prep needed. You don’t have to be home if the placement instructions are clear; the driver calls or texts before arrival.

How much fits in one container
Our container is 8 feet wide by 16 feet long with about 800 cubic feet inside, and we move it loaded with up to 7,500 pounds. For most Eagle Mountain homes, one container handles two to three bedrooms, or roughly a 1,500 square-foot house, depending on how much furniture you have and how tightly you pack. The two-story homes on modest lots that make up most of the city typically fill one container comfortably; larger families or homes with a finished basement often want two. Our advice is always the same: fill one first, then order a second only if you need it. The last things to go in are usually the awkward ones: grills, bikes and patio furniture.
One Eagle Mountain-specific tip: food storage is the heaviest thing people load. A wall of wheat and canned goods adds up fast, so spread it along the floor rather than stacking it at one end. Read what fits in a storage container or what size container a 3-bedroom house needs for room-by-room guidance.
Keep it at home or store it at our yard
Both options cost the same monthly rate. If your new house isn’t ready, or you’re between homes, we pick up the loaded container and hold it at our Pleasant Grove yard, then deliver it to the new address when you say the word. That’s the setup most of our new-build customers in Eagle Mountain use: one delivery, one move to the yard, one move to the finished house, and nothing gets loaded twice. You can visit your container at the yard by appointment; just call or text ahead so someone can meet you at the gate.
A few terms worth knowing: there’s a one-month minimum, no deposit, and the price doesn’t jump after the first month. You bring your own padlock (any padlock works, or we sell one at hardware-store price), and you can add third-party coverage up to $20,000 if your homeowners or renters policy doesn’t cover items in storage. Pricing factors and add-ons are listed on our pricing page.
Why Eagle Mountain chooses Velox over the national brands
When you call about a container in Eagle Mountain you reach our Utah team, not a national call center. We’ve been delivering containers on the Wasatch Front since 2016, we know the pass, the new subdivisions and the HOA quirks, and the same people who take your booking are the ones who show up. Customers switching from the big-name “pod” companies usually mention the same things: confusing quotes, dates that slipped, and nobody local who could fix a problem. If plans change, call or text and we’ll reschedule, no drama, unless the truck is already on its way.
We serve the whole west side of Utah Lake, including Lehi, Saratoga Springs and Cedar Fort, plus all of Utah County and most of the state. Explore our other Utah service areas or read about our Pleasant Grove yard, the one closest to you.
Eagle Mountain portable storage FAQ
Does it cost more to deliver a container to Eagle Mountain?
No. Eagle Mountain is the farthest corner of Utah County from our yard, but we charge a flat rate anywhere in the county, so delivery to Eagle Mountain costs the same as delivery to Pleasant Grove.
How soon can you deliver?
Next-day delivery is often possible and same-day happens occasionally. Late May through mid-August is our busiest season, along with the last few days of any month and the Friday before a holiday, so book early if you’re moving then.
Can the container sit on the street in Eagle Mountain?
The driveway is the best spot. Street placement depends on the city and your HOA, and it usually requires a permit. Text us a photo of your driveway and we’ll find a spot that works.
Can I keep the container while my new home is being built?
Yes. Many Eagle Mountain customers load once, have us store the container at our yard for the length of the build, and have it delivered to the new house when it’s finished. Storing at the yard adds nothing to the monthly rate.
Is the container weatherproof for a Cedar Valley winter?
It’s all steel and keeps out normal rain and snow. It isn’t climate controlled, so load things dry, use sealed totes for fabrics and add a moisture absorber for long storage. Keep documents, electronics and anything irreplaceable with you.
